The community of Florence, Alabama is mourning the death of Marty Hinton, a beloved husband, father, and longtime State Farm employee whose passing has left family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken. Originally from Rogersville, Alabama, Marty built a life centered on faith, family, and kindness. He studied at Lauderdale County High School before attending the University of North Alabama and had been married to his wife, Lucretia Hinton, since June 16, 1989.
Marty was the devoted father of daughters Hayley Hinton and Kaylyn Jane Hinton, who shared an emotional tribute remembering him as the purest example of a father’s love. “My sweet daddy. The loss of my life,” she wrote, adding that he reflected the Heavenly Father’s love and expressing hope in the promise of eternal reunion through faith. She also shared the comforting words of Revelation 21:4, finding strength in the belief that he is now free from pain and sorrow.
As news of his passing spread, heartfelt condolences poured in from those whose lives he had touched. Emily Anthony remembered him as “the sweetest man,” saying he now has “the absolute best view of the stars & galaxies” with the Father. Friends including Isaac Dorning, Ansley Hinson, Leanne Vaughn, Chloe Treinish, Brooke Harp, and many
others offered prayers and support, recalling Marty as a genuinely kind man whose warmth left lasting memories throughout the Florence and Rogersville communities.
