The community of Alden, New York is mourning the death of Paul D. Danson, who passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2026, leaving behind a heartbroken family and a wide circle of friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Paul was the beloved son of Larry and Jill Danson and Paul (Leslie) Pitz, and a devoted brother to Brian (Samantha) Danson and Amanda (Chris) Potts. He was also a loving uncle to Austyn and Connor Meyers and Arianna Potts, a cherished grandson of Rosemary Cummings and the late Daniel Stalica, and a treasured nephew, cousin, and loyal friend. His obituary also remembers his close bond with his best friends, Zack, Heidi, and Zander, as well as dear friends Brad Maderer and Mike Aargauer.
In a touching tribute, his mother, Jill Danson, shared her heartbreak, writing, “This is my handsome beautiful boy. I still can’t believe this tragedy. I love you to the moon and back. I miss you. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Paul’s life on Sunday, July 19, with visitation at Charles Meyer Funeral Home in Alden, followed by a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ride for Roswell/Roswell Park Alliance Foundation in his memory. Paul D.
